Shark cordless stick vacuum

The vacuum you actually use daily, provided the brush roll comes out.

Cleaning tools

Photograph illustrates the category, not this exact model.

What it is good at

  • Being light enough to grab for a two-minute clean
  • Reaching under furniture with a low profile
  • Converting to a handheld for stairs and cars

Check before you buy

  • Whether the battery can be replaced, and its price
  • Whether the brush roll lifts out for cutting hair off it
  • Filter type: washable means no consumables, sealed means a part to buy

Who it is not for

Anyone with wall-to-wall high-pile carpet, which needs an upright with a powered head.

A cordless vacuum earns its place by being used, and it is used when maintenance is trivial. That is why the removable brush roll matters more than the quoted suction.

Batteries are the second life limit. If the pack is not replaceable, the machine has a fixed lifespan of a few years.
